How to Make Ruhu'-ruhu'

 
Bulukumba is my birthplace. Bulukumba known as phinisi boat maker and tanjung bira and also has traditional food. People the call it "Ruhu-Ruhu / Uhu-uhu" .The naming is taken from the word "uhu" meaning hair. This cake is like a rolled-up hair. The making of this cake is very traditional. Tools and materials is not difficult. This cake uses red sugar as a sweetener. Usually bulukumba people make uhu-uhu of the tool is coconut shell and then given a small hole for the material to be printed later in the form of small hair when fried into hot oil.
The dough made from rice flour only needs to be inserted in a coconut shell that is shaped like a bucket (with a handle), and the bottom is hollowed for a liquid dough. Once the cooking oil in the pan has been hot, then the liquid is put like making a pancake, folded in a square-shaped oil (or triangle, as desired). Appointed when the cake is brown, cooled, then smothered in brown sugar that has been melted.Ruhu-ruhu / uhu-uhu redy to serve.
