Story                                       :
In an alternate time millions of years ago after the asteroids that caused the dinosaur extinction only through the earth lived the Apatosaurus family who were farmers. Henry (Jeffrey Wright) and Ida (Frances McDormand) have 3 children Libby (Maleah Padilla), Buck (Marcus Scribner), and the dwarfest, Arlo (Raymond Ochoa, for Indonesian version is dubbed by Adam Farrel). When Libby and Buck easily adapt & take responsibility for their farming (by covering their feet with mud, in silos (corn storage)), the timid Arlo is very difficult to complete his farming tasks. In order to provide understanding in the purpose of life, Henry puts him clean keeping their silos free from pests and helps him set up traps. One day, this trap has caught a child from a cave man, but Arlo reluctantly kills him and goes to leave. Disappointed, Henry forces Arlo to look for the boy near the ravine, at this time of heavy rain. After Arlo injured herself, Henry decided to return home when flash floods came blocking quickly. Henry only managed to save Arlo before he was swept away and killed by the flood.

Without Henry, Arlo should help his mother (Ida) plant before the winter. After he found the cub's human child in the silo, Arlo lace him with his wrath, they both fell into the river after Arlo's head hit the rock and he was unconscious. When conscious, Arlo was surprised to see him away from home and try to survive with very little success. The civet boy gave some berries to eat and led Arlo to the berry tree where they were attacked by a snake command, which the cub's boy had fought and deemed backwards. Arlo is very impressed for the boy. A nearby Styracosaurus, Forrest Woodbush (Peter Sohn), was also impressed with the caveboy's physical prowess, trying to call him by his name, but he was just the color of Arlo, who called it "Spot." After traveling together for the rest of the day, Arlo regretted about the lost family, and the confession at Spot, which opens and treats itself. They slept together that night. The next day, a storm breaks through the ground, and Arlo, wait for a storm that brings life to life, runs for his own safety.

The next morning, Arlo wakes up to find Spot, only to be met by a pterodactyl fanatical band led by Thunderclap (Steve Zahn). Pterodactyl turns into a cruel carnivore, and once they find Spot, they both ride on their own before experiencing. Tyrannosaurus, Nash (A. J. Buckley) and Ramsey (Anna Paquin), who both killed pterodactyl. Arlo and Spot later meet Nash's father and Ramsey, Butch (Sam Elliot), who agree to let the two of them join their party if they can help them find the herd of bison they have done. Spot managed to sniff it out, with Arlo finding a "Rustlers." On Butch's orders, Arlo pulls the Rustlers out, which is revealed to be a Velociraptor group that wants to steal the Butch herd. Butch and the kids try to fend off the Rustlers, Arlo manages to attack the two of them, Husch frightens them for good. With Butch, Nash, and Ramsey now highly respected by Arlo, he helped them toward their homeland. Along the way, Arlo and Spot meet a human from a distance, but it looks and continues.

As other storms begin to rise, Thunderclap and pterodactyl return and strike together, this time succeeding in taking Arlo's place and smell. When Arlo is entangled in some vines, he has a vision of Henry who is traveling and returns home, but Arlo spends his love for Spot and the decision to save him, which is made to grow again before he disappears. Filled with determination, Arlo attacked the pterodactyl that had cornered Spot on the river, and they both managed to seduce them into the air where they rose powerlessly downstream. A flash flood begins, and a landslide falls into the river and. Arlo jumps to save Spot and gets carried away towards the waterfall. Arlo managed to swim to Spot and hold on to when they both fell, with Arlo bringing Spot to the beach where he regained consciousness.

As they stepped back, Arlo and Spot both heard the cry of the cavemen as they passed the hills overseeing Arlo's farm. Reluctantly, Arlo Tell Spot to come back with them and they both share congratulations, but lovingly. Arlo returns home for his mother and siblings, and he traces the mud on the inter-silo

Review                                    :
The Good Dinosaur tells how hundreds of millions of years ago, instead of falling to Earth, it was just "passing through", so the dinosaur species were alive even the next millions of years. Quite unique, in this movie dinosaurs seem to be described as "human" who has a family and have a job like for example a farm owner.
There is Henry and Ida, a pair of Apatosaurus dinosaurs who owned a farm and were blessed with three dinosaur children named Libby, Buck, and Arlo. Unlike his two older brothers, Arlo has a cowardly nature. To be able to overcome these fears, the father was then gave the spirit as well as work to Arlo to keep their corn granules are often stolen by a thief who is not known origin. In his guard, Arlo caught the thief who turned out to be a caveman boy. Unable, Arlo frees him so that his father tells Arlo to chase him along, but a disaster falls on him.

After the disaster, Arlo rediscovered the thief and pursued him, only to fall into the river and go flowing away from his home. In an effort to get back home, Arlo was finally forced to venturing with the caveman, Spot, and find a variety of other types of dinosaurs good and evil. Can Arlo and Spot find their homes again?

Disney Pixar has no doubt its ability to be able to display a stunning visual aspect. Throughout the film, the audience is served a variety of beautiful scenery, ranging from mountains, valleys, peraian, to grasslands. As if, the various scenes are real in the real world. Each scene and other visuals have the finer details, the viewer can see what the skin and scales are, and the spots on Spot. In this film, it seems Disney Pixar like to show off their ability and expertise in packaging visual and animation aspects.

High level animation, unfortunately the story plot feels so standard tends to be ordinary. Indeed, the delivery of messages and emotions in the film is simplified because the target audience is stronger for children. However, like most children's films, the premise of "either defeating the bad" or "confident to face challenges" feels so strong here that the movie feels not much different from other children's films because this kind of story plot is too commonly used. Even so The Good Dinosaur itself can still be enjoyed by adults though for the delivery of such a simple message. There is nothing wrong to invite your baby to watch The Good Dinosaur together, given the message delivered is also quite useful as a learning material for children.
